vielen dank ola! i studied textile design in germany through my university in san francisco and ended up staying there because i enjoyed it so much (my mom's family is german and we happened to have relatives in reutlingen, the same town my fachhochschüle was in). now i work as a stylist (had been freelancing for some time) and just landed a full time position with a large company that I am very excited about. on the side i always am working on collaborations and my textiles, which i have always considered to be my true work. i prefer not to make money from my real work because it changes the way i feel about it. thanks for reading my blog.

I agree about things changing once your passion becomes your main source of income. I just don't know how you could be as free and uninhibited if you are relying on it to pay your bills.

yeah it's too stressful for me unfortunately... i used think how great it would be to make a living off the things i make, but sadly that equation doesn't work for me...

no not out of pity:)) you know, one of those things that someone expresses in a way that cuts through something, to deeper truths in life, things that are felt...
