Kale and white bean soup. I used smoked pig skin as a lid for the veggies while they were cooking so they would pick up some of the smoky flavor, something I saw in Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc cookbook. Afterwards we make pork cracklings.
Also, my camera broke! It has been awful not being able to take pictures... I was just visiting Los Angeles and Canada and couldn't document any of it :(

the soup looks beautiful. sometimes i think it's good to not be able to take any pictures.
Just got Ad Hoc from the library - LOVE that cookbook! Pork cracklings sound delicious.
