looks nice like that:))) i've never dyed mine before, too scared! but mine is really dark, to dye it i think it would have to be bleached... i've thought about it alot but don't think i have the guts, at the end of the day i can only let it be long + dark, it's always been basically the same...
If you want to grow it, don't dye it at all. Mine takes forever to grow, but is so much faster now that I've stopped coloring it. Also start taking iron and zinc.
I just died the the back underside of my hair all really dark and left the rest my natural dirty blonde, it makes it look darker but I wont really get roots. Im super happy with it.
I had highlights in my hair and wanted to grow it longer and grow out the highlights. I had my hairdresser use balyage on the ends to achieve a look that would not need any more dyeing/highlighting and still look good I haven't had it cut for 2 years now and it still looks great. I have to make sure I give it a protein treatment every 2-3 weeks so it stays healthy, though.
yeah it's a tough decision for me. i have been doing balayage for a while now and can't tell if it'd make my hair look longer if i were to just dye it a solid color. can't tell if it looks like it's in shitty condition or not...
I did have mine dyed to match my natural colour and it definitely looked longer. But it damaged my hair, and eventually it faded out (even though it was a permanent colour, done by a good hairdresser) and it looked weird. To keep dyeing the ends would have damaged it more, so I got balyage on the ends again and that was it.
I think a hairdresser that knows your hair well is the best person to ask. Hair is hard work!
