My sweet co-worker Annabella brought me some favas from her front yard and suggested we blanch them with some salt water and top with shaved pecorino cheese and lemon,
I added some chive blossoms and we ate it with butter-fried pork with that pineapple sage...
So tender and delicious!

Thanks for all of the beautiful images.
Look so delicious.
godddd i loveeeee fava beanssssssss.
ful!!! so good on hummus, ahhhhh!
Fava beans are a lot of work from garden to plate & don't go too far. You sure have to savour each one, which isn't difficult to do.
i know, there was only a small plate, so we savoured each one... but jeez was i wishing for a huge bowl!
I'm brewing chive blossom vinegar right now. It didn't occur to me to use them for flavoring a dish.
Yum! Fresh vegetables are the best.
Walrus has fried fresh favas and you can eat the whole thing, shell and all!
