Sunday

Five minute meal.
Spring felt like it was officially here this weekend.
We spent the day walking the farmers market while having our kitchen knives sharpened (!),
eating Washington oysters with horseradish and drinking beer in the sun at Walrus and Carpenter...
Pretty amazing day to say the least.
By the time we got home I didn't feel like picking up a knife (sadly, haha!)
and settled on heating up some chicken broth I made a few nights ago and throwing in some fresh peas and butter lettuce.
Squeeze of a lemon, cracked black pepper, some shaved parm
and voilá...
a perfectly light, easy, and fast springtime meal!

will you do a post about your grocery shopping habits and what you regularly stock your pantry/fridge with soon? I love all of your quick, healthy recipes, but I am clueless and overwhelmed at the grocery store/farmer's market every time. I eventually just settle for familiar (and less healthy) foods for the most part. Thank you! LOVE your blog

Sounds like a great Sunday! I wish spring would show up here, it is still so cold.

I agree with thedarlingroom! I always want to cook healthily but don't really know what the most basic ingredients are that I can use for many recipes (roast chicken, chicken broth, soups, salad basics). Thanks!!
