-For barley:
-Cook barley in veggie or chicken broth
-Chop or cuisineart 1 clove garlic, parsley and cilantro
-Marinate a brick of feta in olive oil and a dash of cumin

For moong daal:
-Cook split red or yellow lentils with a can of coconut milk
-brown ground cumin, mustard seed, and curry powder in ghee or butter
-Add spices to lentils when mustard seeds begin to pop
