 So simple and delicious:
Onion, garlic, carrot, ham hock, cilantro 
That's it!

 I added some fennel pollen I harvested right outside our door to the dino kale, a tip I learned from my friend Leif

whats nice also is if you take scissors to those fennel flowers, so they are no long in those clumps, which are very pretty, but rather strong tasting.

YUM! This looks delicious, and like such good soul food. I also like your wooden bowls with their especially thick rims. They make a nice contrast with the metal fork.

Nice! I'm a big fan of simple foods. I like the addition of the fennel flowers, and that bowl is fantastic.

i've been putting fennel flowers / pollen into lots of my pickling this year.... so delicious!!! makes everything taste like potato chips.
