On special occasions I sometimes have Malt-o-Meal with Regina EVOO, parmesan, and cracked black pepper. I learned it from Oliveto in Oakland. I am not a fan of sweets in the morning and I wish more coffee/tea places would offer a non-sweet alternative for to-go things in the morning. I hate getting stuck without eating breakfast because everything is coated in sugar. The best I've experienced was at Heart in Portland where you can get really delicious hearty bread toasted with simple butter, no jam (jk, you can probably get jam). Thanks Giovanna
