GONE SAILING
I am finally beginning to understand how people stay in Seattle... The indian summers feel incredible after all the gray + rain. Our friend Emmett was nice enough to take us out on Lake Union in a Herreshoff borrowed from the Center for Wooden Boats and it was lovely.

FREE TIME
I styled the images for Free Time Industries chain gang necklaces and love the way they turned out. Photographed by Kyle Johnson.

Thursday
Kale and white bean soup. I used smoked pig skin as a lid for the veggies while they were cooking so they would pick up some of the smoky flavor, something I saw in Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc cookbook. Afterwards we make pork cracklings.
Also, my camera broke! It has been awful not being able to take pictures... I was just visiting Los Angeles and Canada and couldn't document any of it :(
Monday
We will be hosting a secret supper club dinner on Saturday at 8p.m. If you're in Seattle, email me and come! $40 vegetarian, wine pairing included
pimientos de padron with smoked salt
beans, amaranth, caramelized shallots, and roasted carrots with basil
Little City Garden magic salad with banyuls shallots
cherries and blueberries with bronze fennel and fromage blanc
